Being a Web3 recruiter isn’t just a job, it’s a commitment to building the future of technology while navigating the complexities of a fast-paced, global industry. As the Founder & Chief Recruiter of Web3 Insights: Talent,, and the Founder & Host of the Web3 Insights: Podcast, my day is a balancing act of connecting talent, fostering relationships, sharing insights, and cherishing time with my family. It’s not always easy, but it’s incredibly fulfilling.

Morning Hustle: Building the Day’s Foundation
Each day starts early, often with a coffee in hand as I dive into the latest Web3 news. Staying informed is critical when working in an ever-evolving space, where technological advancements and market trends drive conversations with clients and candidates alike.
After catching up on LinkedIn, Telegram, and emails, I like to stick to my “5 and 5” rule: engaging with five top candidates and five clients daily. It’s a framework that helps me manage my vast network of over 33,000 connections. However, in an industry that thrives on collaboration and opportunity, the actual numbers often exceed this, something I embrace as part of the job.
Mid-Morning: Fostering Authentic Connections
One of the unique challenges in Web3 recruitment is maintaining meaningful relationships across such a broad network. Whether it’s personalised outreach to candidates on LinkedIn or participating in niche Telegram and Discord communities, authenticity is key.
A recent highlight during my time at Savant Web3 was partnering with a client in the Bitcoin ecosystem. By delivering a “crypto-quick” service, we filled multiple positions swiftly and effectively. The client was so impressed with the quality and efficiency of our work that they dropped seven other recruitment agencies to work with me exclusively. Stories like this reaffirm why I’m so passionate about what I do, helping organisations build stronger teams while streamlining the recruitment process.
Afternoons: Strategising for Success
Afternoons are all about collaboration, whether it’s refining job descriptions, providing market insights, or strategising with hiring managers to overcome recruitment challenges. It’s not just about filling roles - it’s about placing top candidates and ensuring long-term alignment between candidates and clients.
Business development is another key focus. Staying connected with senior leaders through LinkedIn, Twitter, and Telegram allows me to anticipate trends and identify opportunities. My long-standing involvement in Web3, spanning over five years, positions me as what I like to think of as the “OG Web3 Recruiter” It’s a reputation I’m proud of, and one I continuously nurture through authenticity, expertise, and passion.
Late Afternoon: Podcasting and Personal Branding
As the host of the Web3 Insights Podcast, my afternoons often involve diving into the fascinating world of Web3 through the lens of its pioneers. Every episode is an opportunity to learn from industry leaders while sharing their stories with a wider audience. One of my favourites was a conversation with Yannick Myson , founder of Swarm Network , where we delved into the challenges of misinformation and how decentralised AI can combat it.
Preparing for each episode is a weekend ritual. I immerse myself in research - reading whitepapers, exploring companies, and aligning with guests on discussion topics. Recording on Fridays allows me to edit over the weekend, balancing my passion for storytelling with my day-to-day work, trying to attract more talent into this space.
Evenings: Family, Football, and Unwinding
Evenings are reserved for my family. With two young children, weekends and nights at home are precious. Whether it’s taking the kids to swimming lessons, visiting family, or just relaxing with my wife over a Netflix series like Night Agent, this time is sacred.
Football and fitness also play a huge role in my life. I’ve played football for over 20 years, and managing a Sunday league team has taught me invaluable leadership and people skills. The gym and yoga are my outlets for stress relief, helping me maintain the energy and focus required for the demands of recruitment and podcasting.
Finding Balance: The Key to Everything
Maintaining balance is no easy feat in an industry as dynamic as Web3. Meditation and yoga provide moments of calm amidst the chaos, while my wife is my greatest support system. She’s my sounding board for recruitment challenges, my biggest cheerleader, and, occasionally, a “reporting line” for deal updates.
At the heart of it all is a deep belief in the transformative potential of Web3. My passion for this space is what fuels me, whether I’m helping someone transition from Web2 to Web3, discussing the future of decentralised systems on my podcast, or building long-term relationships with clients and candidates.
Looking back 10 or 20 years from now, I want to be able to say, “I did my bit for this incredible new world of technology.”
